2012 Runners!
“We are proud to announce that a team of three runners from Carter Pumps Ltd will be running at the 2012 Bath Half Marathon. One of the longest established and most popular city centre road running events in the UK, It is also the largest charity fundraising event in the South West region, raising over £1.4 million for charity last year alone.

The three runners are John Dunford (Service Manager), Mark Webb (Sales Engineer) and Mark Sowden (Managing Director). |
The team has decided to support a local charity, Dorothy House Hospice Care, which helps over 700 families affected by cancer, motor neurone disease and other life threatening conditions every day, either in their own homes or at the hospice.
Training is already well underway and the team target for fundraising is £1000.00

The day was bright, sunny and warm making it a perfect day for the many thousands of spectators and supporters who lined the route. However, the sunshine proved to be less welcome by the 12,000 runners with many having to pull out during the later stages of the race.
Two members of Team Carter completed the race. Mark Webb achieved a time of 2 hours 13 minutes and Mark Sowden 3 hours 18 minutes. Regrettably, due to illness, John Dunford was unable to participate in the race, however he has now entered the Cardiff Half Marathon in October.
The team have raised well in excess of £1000, and the three team members would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored them.
